Empower Your Employees, Faakhir Rizvi
There are many ways to motivate employees. Giving them honest feedback and proper coaching are just two of the ways to start them on a path to success.

As a business owner it is in your best interest to get the absolute most out of your employees that you can. There are many ways for a business owner to do this but often one of the best ways is to get your employees involved. Often people consider their jobs as just a way to pay the bills. Having to work from 9-5 is just something they have to do each day. But they don’t necessarily like having to do it, or where they work. It’s up to you and your management team to make your employees' jobs more than just a job. Give them a career they can be proud of.

Challenge Your Employees

So how do we get them involved? Well they need to become engaged in the welfare of the business. Energize your workforce by getting them involved in what happens to the company. You need to create a culture that allows people to express ideas and creativity freely. Challenge your employees each and every day. Ask them what they would like to see improved in their workplace. Health and safety practices are one area that employees can always have an impact on. Empower your employees to act.

Give Employees an Honest Evaluation

Use employee reviews to give honest feedback. Ask them how they can improve their performance and give them an honest critique of what you think they can do better. And tell them what they need to do if they want to move up in the organization. Find out more about your employees' lives. What are they doing to improve themselves? What kind of career aspirations do they have? If you have a growing organization you might just find some future managers within your company.

Coach Your Employees to Success

Identify people that might make future managers and coach them to success. Often people will join a company but never receive the kind of training that they should. How can they learn new skills if no one takes the time to properly train them? If an employee has to learn things on their own it will take a much longer amount of time for them to pick up new skills.

Use a Mentorship Program

A mentorship program is often a great way for new employees to learn their jobs in a relatively short period of time. Pairing up a new worker with an experienced hand can often help both employees. For the experienced worker it is a show of faith and support in their skills and abilities. This can be a huge morale booster. But before you thrust such a task on an employee you need to make clear your expectations to them. The new worker of course gets the benefit of someone experienced teaching them.

Motivate Your Employees by Empowering Them

There are many ways to motivate employees but empowering them to act can often be one of the best. This shows that you value their contribution and they are not just another cog in the machine. Give them constant feedback and constructive criticism about their job performance. And give them responsibilities beyond the scope of their normal duties. Your employees will appreciate your efforts on their behalf. And your business will reap the rewards.
